Beast Girl Misaki doll to be released soon!

There’s a lady from Japan coming soon for her fans - and it is none other than Misaki from the FR: Nippon Collection. Created by David Buttry, Beast Girl Misaki is released by FR: Nippon, so pricing and other details will be handled through their distribution channels and dealers. Integrity Toys is not selling the doll and neither is the W Club. Azone is allowing priority pre-ordering from US and international customers starting at some time on February 5th, 2021 from any one of the following sources (check these sites out from time to time starting on Feb. 5th):

No pricing or other details like edition number, skin tone etc. were available, although rumour is that she will retail near $200.00, She reminds me a lot of Billie Eilish - who has released two different dolls in her likeness so far.

Integrity Toys 2019 Convention Day 2: OOAK raffle dolls

Every year the designers of Integrity Toys create some amazing one of a kind doll’s to raffle off during the convention. This year was no exception. As the W Club unfortunately does not sent any email about them, I got some captures from the company’s Instagram stories so that you can check them out. You can see how popular they were with their followers too.

Third new Tulabelle doll and yes, I can officially say I don’t like her sculpt. In this case, I don’t like the outfit either. Which is a variation of last year’s Style Lab Poppy.

public.jpeg

A colour variation (which is happening a lot in this convention and is, by now, lazy) of the W Club exclusive Midnight Decadence Poppy Parker. Looks nice but it’s frankly boring just seeing one colour variation after another and no new, exciting designs.

public.jpeg

See how gorgeous a new doll design can be? Although new is not exactly a word one can use for a Karl Lagerfeld inspired doll, when Mattel has already done it before you. Still, Noah looks amazing here and I’d probably put all my raffle tickets towards him.

public.jpeg

Beautiful Natalia (Flor means flower in Spanish and Portuguese), with a dress that looks like a flower.

public.jpeg

Imagine handling a company’s social media and mistaking the product names. Nadja, again in a lighter skin tone, with one of those ruffled tulle dresses that have become quite popular lately.

public.jpeg

Evelyn is so beautiful here, with her frothy polka dot gown and red hair. Please make a b&w version of the dress in the East 59th line.

public.jpeg

Victoire embodies the Fire And Ice Revlon ad from 1952, with Dorian Leigh, but with a touch of Allure Monogram. Gorgeous.

public.jpeg

A mess of an outfit. Why is this a Nu.Fantasy? What is the fairytale connection? If anyone knows, please comment on it. I’m guessing the sculpt is a Monogram.

public.jpeg

Compare this to the previous doll. So much better! And it certainly looks like it took a lot of time making the dress, with the flowers and everything.

So, let us know your pick of the raffle dolls in the comments!

She’s a cute doll and I like her Chanel style bag and gorgeous disc earrings. If I collected Misaki I’d be thrilled to get her. What do you think?

Fashion Fairytale: Integrity Toys 2017 Convention Collection part II: Poppy Parker and Misaki!

The Fashion Fairytale Convention Collection did not include only Fashion Royalty and Nu Face dolls of course. Poppy Parker made a strong presence and there was a surprise appearance by her Far East peers: Misaki!

Most beautiful Poppy of the collection. She is of course inspired by Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Integrity had done a Rayna in this style and Poppy is giving her a run for her money. Plus she has a lovely bag and accessories. What’s not to love? I’m sure she will be really popular.

What is she wearing? This is a disaster. All that shapeless falbala! The frumpy long sheath does not help a bit. And her lovely face does not salvage this train wreck. I’m certain this looked good on paper but did not translate well on the doll. It seems Poppies have bags. Why don’t the rest of the ladies have them too? She is inspired by Rapunzel. Jessy Ayala said that the hair would have been longer but a longer braid would have caused production problems.

Another lovely Poppy doll. The dress though is a bit shapeless. I wish I could see the bag better. The hairstyle is gorgeous as is her make up. She is channeling Tinkerbell of course.

This Misaki duo is channeling Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Do they count as Fairytale characters? Mmmm no, but the cartoony Misaki faces match the inspiration.

New Misaki doll will be available in September

Azone have posted the new FR Nippon Collection Misaki doll (the 18th Misaki series as the site says) at their website (and Integrity on their Facebook page). It is described as '60s-style retro POP in a Ryi style. It has side glancing eyes and an asymmetrical Oriental hairstyle, while she is dressed in a colorful violet dress with embroidery at the bottom. She's really cute.

You can preorder the doll from Azone. I could not figure the day that you can place a preorder but it is either 19th of September or the day before. Contact Azone for details.
