Most the pieces below are all made using a Face and body building technique. I have developed over the years.

I use this on my dragons and dolls her are some of the dolls using that technique.

Flynn & Company Sold

Flynn was made with the Body and Face building technique It is much like sculpting with clay only the technique is transformed with fabric and fiber.  I start with a base body and build on every aspect piece by piece.  The more sculpted and defined the area the more building takes place. Sits 12 inches tall.

Kabuki Dancer - Nature & Earth

This is a artist love of Mixed Media many different techniques encompass this Kabuki Dancer.  The fine bead work is not only incorporated in the clothing but in the head dress includes polished shells and bead work. Check out the dragon tattoo is hand painted and circles his waste line wrapping around his entire body. Five layers of white paint was applied to his face to give him a "make-up" theatrical appearance.  He has a yarn grass like bottom dress, wrapped and beaded leggings and hand made leather shoes.     26 inches tall.

Baby Troll - Sold

Baby Troll is another example of my face and body building classes.  All the dolls on this page except for the Kabuki Dancer are all from the same class. Start and finish with different dolls all doing the same class it is amazing!  The class is a an adventure into fabric manipulation and good hand sewing skills.  Although some machine sewing is done, it is so little that it would take you less than an hour to cut out pattern pieces, sew and turn them before the class begins.  Some students I even allot for them to come to class an hour early to do this very thing. Everyone makes their own doll with exactly the same instructions.  this is a concept class, it is not about the doll but the adventure and creative process.  The figure is who or what you want it to be.

I have never had one of these dolls more than a month before it sells.  I only wish I had the time to make more than I do.
